Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a the morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD-TV. O'Dell's articles in Charleston concerning how Charleston police handled DUI cases with leniency caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division. The inquiry led to a stronger instruction for the state's authorities. The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with its Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. O'Dell was then employed by NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. In addition to her current role as anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and in addition to Dateline NBC. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
